Mason Beaulieu
(He/Him/His)
Hi, my name is Mason! I joined The Swim Collective team in October of 2025.
I’m 17 years old and have been swimming for as long as I can remember - my mom jokes that I could swim before I could walk! I became a certified lifeguard in 2023 and joined The Swim Collective this fall. I’m currently in training but can’t wait to teach independently soon. In grade 9, I competed on my school swim team and won all my heats at two swim meets. Swimming has always been a passion of mine, and I love helping others feel confident in the water.
Outside the pool, I enjoy playing volleyball on my school team, participating as a cadet with 861 Silverfox RCAS, and volunteering at my church.
I’m excited to grow my teaching skills, create a fun and welcoming environment for every swimmer, and build meaningful connections with everyone in the pool!
At The Swim Collective, we’re passionate not only about supporting swimmers, but also about mentoring new instructors. A key focus of our program is helping emerging instructors grow in skill, confidence, and their own unique teaching style. Every swimmer’s progress is supported and monitored by Brittany, either directly or in close collaboration with the instructor.

(She/Her/Hers)
Hello there, my name is Tessa! I joined The Swim Collective team in June of 2025.
I am 17 years old and have been competitively swimming for as long as I can remember - Brittany was actually one of my first coaches! I have held several club records for breaststroke, and have also competed provincially. I have always had a passion for teaching and swimming. I became a certified as a lifeguard and instructor in 2024 and have been teaching for over a year; I have enjoyed every second!
When I’m not at the pool, you can also find me skiing! I became a coach for the Manning Park Race Team in 2022 (if you can’t tell, I love racing). Some of my other hobbies including horse riding, oil painting, and reading.
From this experience I am hoping to strengthen my teaching skills, build meaningful connections with swimmers, and create a safe, fun, inclusive environment for everyone!

Brittany Wheaton Anderson
(She/Her/Hers)
Hi there, I’m Brittany!
I grew up swimming competitively and started coaching in 2007, continuing through 2020. During that time, I became a certified lifeguard, volunteered at an oncology-based summer camp, ran my own Red Cross swim lesson business, and competed for my university swim team (I was a butterflyer!). Over the years, I’ve instructed and coached swimmers of all ages and abilities from babies to seniors.
I’ve had the privilege of mentoring young coaches, developing programs, supervising meets, and designing curricula for early competitive swimmers ages 6 & under. In 2019, I became Co-Head Coach of a summer team in the valley. After a brief hiatus in 2020, I returned to teaching private lessons in fall 2023.
After noticing gaps in local swim services, I launched The Swim Collective in March 2025 — a community-based swim program grounded in warmth, inclusivity, and relationship-based teaching. We provide personalized instruction for swimmers who may not thrive in traditional group settings. Our focus is on safety, adaptability, and helping every swimmer feel confident, supported, and celebrated — while also offering developing instructors a space to grow and refine their skills.
I specialize in working with neurodiverse learners, adults returning to the water later in life, and anyone with physical or cognitive challenges, trauma, or anxiety around swimming. I help swimmers overcome barriers and progress efficiently, safely, and with confidence. Private lessons allow me to tailor instruction to each swimmer’s strengths and needs. Competence in the water is essential — and it should be accessible to everyone.
Outside the pool, I studied Psychology, Sociology, and Human Services, and have worked in various mental health and social support roles, both residentially and in the community. Combined with my own experience with chronic illness, I bring empathy, insight, and a trauma-informed approach to every lesson.
These days, when I’m not at the pool, I spend most of my time with my husband and our sweet cat, Adam West. I love going for walks around the lake, puttering around my garden, trying out new recipes, decorating for every season, and drinking entirely too much coffee.
